Day at the zoo/canal - and a cute play date!

Monday we went downtown and spent the day at the zoo, butterfly gardens, and canal - it was a beautiful fun day! For some reason Brayden insisted we took a picture of him with this peacock for "memories"! Too cute! Here's Brianna being a monkey on the zoo playground - of course this is the best part of the zoo;)

Yesterday Brayden had his friend Collin come over to play! Collin's little sister is Brianna's age so she came to play too and they were so cute - pretending to be chicks in the papasan chair!
Here's Brayden and Collin reading the comics together! It's always so interesting to see how differently kids play - making up their own different rules.

Baseball and other things...

Today was Brayden's first baseball game (I missed it because of work of course - but Gary got some videos/pics). He was 2 for 2 and scored twice! Pretty good - cute - start! As you can see below, Brianna received a top of the line makeover by Sophi Keck the other day!
The Baseball Parade (banner designed by Gogis Design;)

Trying on hats at the butterfly exhibit...

Posing for almost a second at the butterfly exhibit;)

Here's a video of one of Brayden's hits today (maybe he'll be a bunter;)

Learning to Rhyme

I don't want to forget the funny moment we had at dinner today... Brianna is just starting to learn words that rhyme and she was making up her own rhymes. Here is a quote from tonight, "Corn, porn... Hey that rhymes!!!! Corn, porn, corn, porn..."

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter! First thing in the morning the kids checked out their Easter baskets and had a little egg hunt (Brianna got a slight head start)! We went to church (which was great) and headed up to Brad and Chris' house for lunch! Brayden and Brianna enjoying chocolate bunnies!
The grand champion egg fight winner (I won both egg wars today)!

Brayden was runner up...

This pic is for you mom;)

Brianna was ready to cry when her egg cracked until I told her she could eat it!

Easter craft time! Great idea Chris! (Brayden designed The Easter Co. - my little businessman)

Listening to the rules for the Easter Egg Hunt! Brayden found the egg with a dollar in it!

The ladies! (neither one usually sits still - so this is rare)

Posing in their Easter outfits - love the attitude Brayden! Brianna picked out her dress this year (and there was no complaining when it was time to put it on!)

Not the greatest video - but a cute shot of the kids searching for eggs!

Brayden's Easter Party!

These pictures got a little out of order...
Today, I helped out at Brayden's school for his Easter party - they all had decorated a hat at home to wear at school for a parade. (Brayden is in the back row - 5th from the left.) Here are our eggs this year - as you can see, Gary relinquished his need to spend 6 hours per egg. It was fun letting the kids do more this year!
Of course, Brianna wanted to make a pink egg and a purple egg! Brayden made an egg that said "Jesus loves me" then he stuck a spiderman sticker on it! He's so sweet;)

Brayden and I worked on his hat together this year - I think it turned out really cute! (Even without Gary's help!)

Spring Break!

For spring break we hung out here in Indy. We went to the children's museum and even though it was busy we had a good time!
Here are Knights Brayden and Brianna in my favorite exhibit - the Legos! Even though the Clone Wars exhibit was a bit disappointing we at least were able to get a picture of their 2 favorite characters - Anakin and Osaka!

Under the sea starring - Brayden and Brianna (not exactly sure what they are)!

Digging for dinosaur bones - Brayden was extra friendly here - talking nonstop to the guy who was supervising!

As for the rest of our spring break, we went to the YMCA a couple times, the library, hung out with friends, went to see the movie Bolt at a dollar theater, and slept in past 7:30! Yippeee - good times!
