Just trying to get healthy!

A little update from the Gogis house... Brayden was sick with a fever, cough, runny nose, headache last week and unfortunately Brianna got it this week (only worse). She visited Dr. Gloyeske today and he started her on Omnicef for her ears (which are red but not truly infected yet) and her lungs (bottom left lobe is junky - possible pneumonia). Hopefully, she'll do well with the medicine and it will clear it up. Poor girl hasn't been eating - which those of you who know my little pig know this is a big deal. She seems to be doing slightly better with that today but still really whiny, which is wearing on all of us. We're definitely ready for warmer weather here!

Not just coincidence...

Brianna used the potty successfully again tonight! We may be starting potty training earlier than we thought!

Potty Potty

Tonight I asked Brianna if she needed to go pee and she said, "yes, potty, potty..." and headed towards the stairs (we had gotten out Brayden's old potty and put it in the upstairs bathroom). We put her on the potty, and sure enough she went! She'll be 19 months old on the 21st. We'll see if she does it again any time soon, but that was hilarious!

It's my turn...

Ok, so Brayden got Brianna's stomach bug on Sunday and now it's my turn today! It stinks to have to take a day off work so early in the year considering I only get 7 days off a year. Oh well - hopefully I will recover quickly. We need a germ exorcist in our house - lysol and oust just don't seem to be cutting it! Please pray that Gary can escape all of this junk.

A date with just Brianna!

I got to take just Brianna to the Children's Museum today while Brayden was busy at preschool. It was fun for her to actually do what she wanted to do for a change!

Funny...

I just looked back at Brayden's records and he was the same height that Brianna is now when he was 12 months old but he weighed 2 pounds more than she does now... He was a big boy!!!

Checkups...

Brayden and Brianna got to go to the Dr. for checkups today. (By the way, Brianna seems better but still not eating good.) Brayden is in the 90th% for height and 80% for weight - so he continues to be tall for his age (not sure where he got that). Brianna is squatty like her momma - she's up to 24.5 pounds (50%) and 31 inches (25%). She did well with her shots - the nurse said she's strong (as we all know not just physically but strong-willed too)! The doctor said they both looked good!

We love germs...

Here we go again! Brianna brought in the new year with a lovely good morning puke and a clinging whiny day. I'm telling you - we're like germ magnets... I was scared to take her to the nursery on sunday for that very reason! Oh well! Please pray that it is a mild virus and the rest of us stay healthy. (However, I've got to say I haven't felt great either.)
