Been playin' outside...

I haven't been updating this site as frequently because we've been busy playing outside! Brayden is standing next to our peach tree (which actually has a peach on it)! Hopefully this tree will do better than the weeping cherry that was there before. Brianna is showing off her new swimsuit! She has taken up a new hobby - golf! She is hilarious with a golf club! We call her Brianna Woods!

Random things about me:
1. I too sleep with a blanket that I've had since I was born (you all know the one - I can step through it the holes are so big).
2. I also can not stand the sound/feel of styrofoam or cotton - the thought of them makes me cringe right now!
3. I can blow bubbles off of my tongue.
4. I tap danced until I was 18 (and occasionally you may see me dancing in the kitchen if you drive by my house at just the right moment).
5. My house got struck by lightning on wednesday and there is a hole in the roof to prove it.

Prophetic...

For those of you who haven't heard, our house was struck by lightning on wednesday. We had just walked into our house after driving back from Ft. Wayne and we heard and felt (and saw) the lightning hit. Firefighters came to make sure there weren't any fires - which there weren't, but we have found multiple things that were ruined by the surge (tv's, vcr, phones, modem, router, oven, garage door opener). This picture was taken the night before this all happened. As you can see - Gary is wearing a lightning rod on his head. At the time he was trying to be an antenna so we could watch American Idol (the cable had gone out temporarily). Little did we know that he would attract the lightning too.

Ft. Fun!!!

We spent several days in Ft. Wayne... We got a tour of Allison and Ryan's new house - very nice! It was so good to see Grandma Ginny! We got to spend a lot of time with Aunt Alli too!
Family dinner at Cebolla's! Brianna was CRAZY - being as loud as she could! I tried to shove food in her mouth just to keep her quiet!

Walking!

Just a little update... Gary was on the phone today and he looked up to see Brianna walking right past him! She walked a good 10 steps! Soon she'll be running with her big brother!

Bike ride

Brayden wanted me to put this on the blog site - he rode his bike all the way around the neighborhood, past the park, and home! He stopped at the lake to look for fish but all we found was a dead one.
